Dear all,
I've been trying to follow defines.sh to find a few variables. Is there any reason the individual sections aren't alphabetised?
Just wondering ;-)

Some variables cannot be sorted (e.g. DBDIR1 is set from DBDIR1A), and some variables are grouped logically within a section (e.g. P*SRSLAVECONF next to R*SRSLAVECONF), but for the most part I think it was originally to small for it to matter and then just grew.

One for later then ;-)

Oh come on, is it so hard to search for strings in that file using your favorite text editor?

No, I never said that. It should be easy on the eye to just look down the list.
A bit of order never hurt.
