slapd.conf(5) and slapd-config(5) say MaxDerefDepth defaults to 1, but include/ldap_defaults.h says #define SLAPD_DEFAULT_MAXDEREFDEPTH 15.
Seems it was wrong ever since it was checked in for ITS#1749. Oh well. Fixed in HEAD.
