slapd often assumes "member" and "groupOfNames" are always defined (e.g. in ACLs, but in many other places). However, this attribute and objectClass are defined in core.schema (core.ldif). For consistency, I believe they should rather be hardcoded in schema_prep.c. p. Ing.
