--- Comment #19 from David Coutadeur <david.coutadeur(a)gmail.com> ---
For reference (also discussed in the Merge request)
Hi,
I have opened two separate bug reports for the compiling issues:
- [Issue 9477] slapd on master branch segfaults at first connection
establishment with an LDAP client
- [Issue 9478] compilation issue of nssov overlay on master branch
I have also fixed other reported issues:
- ppm.conf file was indeed confusing, I renamed it as an ppm.example, useful
for anybody wanting a quick example of parameters. It is also helpful for the
test suite.
- NOTICES is deleted
- exit(): thanks for the remark, I have adapted the code for not exiting
Thanks to Howard's quick fixes of 9477 and 9478, I was able to test ppm from
compilation to applicative tests.
I have tested each ppm feature separately, with success. For me, everything is
fine.
Please don't hesitate if you have other remarks.

Issue ID: 9283
Summary: Mutex leak in backend.c`backend_db_init()
Product: OpenLDAP
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: ---
Component: slapd
Assignee: bugs(a)openldap.org
Reporter: grapvar(a)gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
@backend_db_init:
if bi_db_init() fails, but [BackendDB *be] is not listed in [slap_be_head
backendDB] list of backends, then be->be_pcl_mutex is not destroyed.
| BackendDB *
| backend_db_init( ... )
| {
| ...
| ldap_pvt_thread_mutex_init( &be->be_pcl_mutex );
| ...
| if ( bi->bi_db_init )
| rc = bi->bi_db_init( be, cr );
|
| if ( rc != 0 ) {
| if ( !b0 ) {
| ...
| ldap_pvt_thread_mutex_destroy( &be->be_pcl_mutex );
| ch_free( be );
Additionally, it does not look like that owner of [b0] cares about destroying
this mutex.
