Hi Hallvard, I want to thank you so much for your timely responses. I'm very glad to interact with a so responsible team. Changing MDB_CREATE is clearer, indeed allows separate both sets with a simple mask. Talking about the documentation, I think that should be stressed somewhere that when using named databases, the main one (unnamed) should not be used for regular work without special care and some constraints. Maybe that a remark in mdb_dbi_open would be sufficient. Regards and thanks again. Salvador. Full_Name: Salvador Ortiz Version: OS: URL: Submission from: (NULL) (187.162.45.111) The documentation states that the Environment's flags should not overlap with the Database's ones, but MDB_NOMETASYNC and MDB_CREATE share the same value. There is unused bits in the low word. We are still at time to change MDB_CREATE?

The problem lies in the unconditional use of O_CREATE in mdb_env_setup_locks. I'm not sure what is the best solution.

Full_Name: Version: HEAD OS: URL: Submission from: (NULL) (79.219.109.139) Feature request: It would be quite handy if attribute 'namingContexts' would be available in backend entries in subtree cn=Backends,cn=Monitor. This would allow to quickly query the set of supported LDAPv3 ext. controls in attribute 'supportedControl' for a given naming context. Of course one can query the DB entry below cn=Databases,cn=Monitor and look at 'seeAlso' but that's extra amount of work without added value especially since 'seeAlso' is multi-valued also pointing to overlay entries. Alternative would be to add 'supportedControl' to entries below cn=Databases,cn=Monitor.
