Use a supported version of BDB. OpenLDAP 2.3 series works with BDB 4.2, 4.4, and 4.5. OpenLDAP 2.4 series works with BDB 4.2, 4.4, 4.5, and 4.6. Since you built 2.3 against 4.6, you are trying to do something that is not supported.
