And just for the record, this exact config (the only difference being = the index params were uncommented) was working fine on Debian Etch / = slapd 2.3.x, which we have been using for a very long time, with no ill = effects (certainly nothing like this). We only rebuilt this same box = today with 2.4.20 on Lenny/Amd64.
