Hi,

This has already been covered extensively in http://www.openldap.org/its/index.cgi/?findid=5812. If you prefer to have it turned off for all clients on a system, you can use your global ldap.conf file to do so. The project will not be changing long-standing behavior. But I appreciate your time in filing the ITS.
