Attached is a patch which adds a "Default Attribute Values" functionality to OpenLDAP. It is implemented as an overlay named "defvals", and the patch is done against cvs-head of today.

Complete documentation is included in the slapo-defvals(5) manual page. The overlay code itself is commented as well, as a help for others writing overlays.

Feel free to trim comments or improve code as you see fit.
