I executed the following search: ldap-uat1:/etc/ldap# ldapsearch -LLL -Q -h ldap-uat1 -b "dc=stanford,dc=edu"
/dev/null
Which ended with this error: Time limit exceeded (3)
A second run hit the same error:
ldap-uat1:/root# time ldapsearch -LLL -Q -h ldap-uat1 -b "dc=stanford,dc=edu" >/dev/null Time limit exceeded (3)

So it looks like OpenLDAP has a hard coded 1 hour time limit. Which, of course, is not correct. Of course, this search shouldn't take an hour, either.
