There is an error in the ACL section of the OpenLDAP Software 2.4 Administrator's guide:

http://www.openldap.org/devel/admin/slapdconf2.html

In the following line:

   by peername.regex=IP:10\..+ read

Instead of "IP:", the correct syntax is "IP=".

   by peername.regex=IP=10\..+ read
