But: - make test fails in test50 (core dump) - after installation each installed executable (including slapd) is larger than 8GB in size. None of them is executable on my machine - I get an immediate "Killed" from Solaris, presumably because the virtual memory is less than 8GB. New patch provided, in ftp incoming/brett-maxfield-080906.patch which fixes a problem when virtual attributes of a child entry are written to. Previous patch does not deal with this consequence, and updates the parent entry instead (bad) New patch returns UnwillingToPerform with a meaningful text error, for virtual attributes on child entries, which is a better option.

E.g. when you have to entries below cn=schema,cn=config (with index {0} an {1}) and try to add cn={3}myschema,cn=schema,... slapd dumps core. I am currently testing a fix that just adjusts the index of the new entry to match the number of sibilings. (Another option would be to error out).
