Hi Emmanuel,
Are there any plans for an updated release of Apache Directory Studio?
It has been about 6 years without a release and ADS can no more connect to modern LDAP Servers over TLS due to lack of supported ciphers.
I would think that an updated release or patch should be considered mandatory.
I hope Apache keeps on loving its users :)
Best, Nick

Hi Nick,
Apache Directory Studio has some issue with TLS 1.3, and we are working on it.

What is the output of your query with "-d -1" added to the command line? What is the output of "openssl s_client -connect $SERVER:636"?
Can you query your server when you disable certificate checking in ldap.conf ("TLS_REQCERT allow")?
Hi Uwe,
After further testing, I found that I can connect over ldaps from other servers (using ldapsearch) successfully, even from my (Windows) workstation with JXplorer, but not from Apache Directory Studio (also on my workstation).
Quite strange. ADS can connect to the old server (which has exactly the same certificate!) without issues.
I'll (try to) troubleshoot that further, but if you have any ideas, they are welcome!
Thanks, Nick
We are working on it :-)
Last week, we had Studio working with Java 25, which was something we wanted to do.
We may cut a 2.0-RC1 in the coming weeks. In any case, we are really moving forward!

Thank you Emmanuel for the reply.
I am really looking forward to this release.
