If you know how to build OpenLDAP manually, and would like to participate in testing the next set of code for the 2.4.36 release, please do so.
Generally, get the code for RE24:
Configure & build.
Execute the test suite (via make test) after it is built.
Thanks!

make test worked with hdb and mdb.
My local setup seems to work either.
Ciao, Michael.

Building my RHEL6 rpm was with hdb, bdb and mdb and all test was fine.
Runs also since a few days on our test and stage environment. No problems so far.

Please also tell if you built 32 or 64 bit. If you're testing on some other CPU architecture (e.g. ARM, ARM64) that would obviously be relevant too. Thanks.

Hmm, installing all the contrib modules does not work anymore.
For example:
nb2:/usr/src/michael/openldap-git/re24/openldap/contrib/slapd-modules/noopsrch # make install STRIP="" mkdir -p /usr/local/libexec/openldap for p in noopsrch.la ; do \ ../../../libtool --mode=install cp $p /usr/local/libexec/openldap ; \ done libtool: install: error: cannot install `noopsrch.la' to a directory not ending in /opt/openldap-RE24/libexec/openldap make: *** [install] Error 1
Maybe a regression related to ITS#7656?
Ciao, Michael.

Hm, no, that was only in liblmdb, so it wouldn't affect contrib. I would suspect a broken version of libtool, as there have been no changes in how contrib is built in months.

Uumpf! I should remember how to use my own build & install scripts...I'm getting old...
