I have a mixed 2.4 and 2.6 version of openldap servers and it works fine (it’s a quite simple server with no special overlay, only the sync one) What I have done for migration is to setup a full new structure with only 2.6 servers, and for now the master of the 2.6 structure i still a slave of the old 2.4 master.

The replication between master in 2.5 and consumers in 2.4 work's fine ?
