Hi,
I am moving my old LDAP setup which is now more than 8 years old to version 2.5.7 (Symas Ubuntu build). Now I use simple Master -> backup only sync configuration. On those systems I also use accesslog overlay.
On new systems I would like to deploy a multi master with delta sync or maybe pure multi master since it is a small database with only few hundreds users. I have been using multi master on other systems for years without any (many) problems and those systems have more that 500 k users. Also I would like to use accesslog and lastbind overlays and maybe some other overlays in the future.
My question is is there significance in which order I will add overlays to databases? Syncprov first then others or it does not have any impact.

Yes, it matters. Syncprov first, then accesslog. After that order should be immaterial.
I would note that in OpenLDAP 2.5, a bit of the lastbind functionality has been integrated into slapd so you may not need to deploy it separately.
