I was able to reproduce this as well with back-mdb.
Are you sure you're testing RE24 and not HEAD? I can reproduce this failure in HEAD easily, but test061 has passed for me approximately 1000 times so far in RE24.

My fault :-) You are right, neither git branch OPENLDAP_REL_ENG_2_5 nor branch OPENLDAP_REL_ENG_2_4 produced this error. Only git branch HEAD showed this error. Sorry for the noise, I failed a 'git checkout OPENLDAP_REL_ENG_2_4' beeing in HEAD.

Sorry for the noise, I failed a 'git checkout OPENLDAP_REL_ENG_2_4' beeing in HEAD.
As "HEAD" is a time-variant value (like "CURRENT") it would be helpful to talk about real revisions when drying to discuss differences IMHO. There's a "git describe" if you don't want to refer to the head of "git log" or "git reflog"...
