lastbind not working on consumer since version 2.6.3

Hi, I have a single provider / multiple consumers setup with olcLastBind enabled on all servers but excluding the pwdLastSuccess attribute from syncing, so that the provider and each consumer have their own values. After updating one of the consumers from 2.6.2 to 2.6.3, I noticed that pwdLastSuccess stopped refreshing on new binds. So, on a test machine I installed 2.6.3 and then 2.6.6 and verified that when the server is set to read only or as a simple consumer (no multiprovider), pwdLastSuccess is not modified. Is this a result of the fixes for ITS#9863 in 2.6.3? If this is not a bug, but intended behavior, is there a way to have lastbind work in a simple consumer (without making it writable)?

Problem with "force user to password reset at first login

Hi, I am trying to force users to change their password at first login or after password reset by administrator. Tried following: 1)Password policy 'pwdMustChange TRUE' doesn't seems to be working as non of the users get prompt to change their password at first login. 2) used the 'pwdReset TRUE' attribute in users attributes, and it won't prompt to change the password and didn't allow to login i observe below messages in log "slapd[12684]: connection restricted to password changing only slapd[12684]: send_ldap_result: err=50 matched="" text="Operations are restricted to bind/unbind/abandon/StartTLS/modify password" slapd[12684]: conn=1053 op=1 SEARCH RESULT tag=101 err=50 nentries=0 text=Operations are restricted to bind/unbind/abandon/StartTLS/modify password" Please help me configure the option to force all users to change their password at first login or after pwd reset by administrator. If you want the value to have general meaning for most deployments, yes. Generally I'd go with Multi-provider replication in a active/passive configuration, with some number of read only consumer nodes, where the read only nodes forward their updates to the active provider. --Quanah

Openldap version / behavior wih duplicates

Hello, I notice a different behavior between versions OpenLDAP 2.4 and OpenLDAP 2.6 for synchronization management and duplicates. In the version OpenLDAP 2.4, there is no error when duplicates are found (different branch in openldap) during synchronizations (syncrepl) With version OpenLDAP 2.6, synchronizations are in error Do you know why?

ldap proxy, attribute rwm

I created an LDAP proxy using an LDAP backend to connect to our Active Directory server. Unfortunately, our AD server has incorrect usernames in the sAMAccountName attribute, so I would like to override this with the prefix of the value found in the userPrincipalName attribute (the part before @domain). Is this possible at all? Unfortunately, I haven't succeeded in doing this so far.

Key/value chunk sizes / alignment?

Hello, I have two LMDB databases, identical except one has key size 34 bytes and the other key size 33 bytes. (Both have same value sizes and same number of pairs). How can the file sizes on disk be exactly the same? Is this because of the 2-byte alignment mentioned here? https://github.com/AltSysrq/lmdb-zero/issues/8 I wonder if this 2-byte alignment was documented anywhere. This doesn't bother me btw. I was just expecting the file sizes to differ (got scared I had a bug in my program until I did an mdb_dump to see the real difference) Thanks, Samuel
