After upgrading from OpenLDAP 2.4.23 to 2.4.36, I can no longer add a user:
# ldapadd -x -D "cn=Manager,dc=luthresearch,dc=net" -w secret -f /etc/openldap/adduser.ldif ldap_bind: Invalid credentials (49)
