Extract, configure, and build.
Execute the test suite (via make test) after it is built. Optionally, cd tests && make its to run through the regression suite.

Tested installation and smoke tested on RH7,8,9, D10, 11, U18, 20, 22 and SLES 15.4.
Also, stress tested on RHEL8.
Tests all ran OK.
