Facebook has a lot of money to throw around. The OpenLDAP Project is an all-volunteer organization. If you want Facebook-level of propaganda, someone has to pay for it.

I am seeking information about uses of LMDB in system of record kind of situations, especially in large, replicated clusters where LMDB is used as the persistence layer to store mission critical data.

There are plenty of success stories out there in all of the usual developer-oriented web forums.
