Hello everybody,
i am running SLES 11.2 x64 with slapd 2.4.30 obtained from this repository: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/meikestone/SLE_11_SP2/
I am experiencing a problem that should have been solved in 2.4.26: Fixed slapo-memberof with accesslog (ITS#6329,ITS#6766,ITS#6915) (http://www.openldap.org/software/release/changes.html)
i am running a master with multiple slaves, when adding a user to a group the memberof overlay updates the memberof attribute of the user on the master. the modification of the memberof attribute neither appears in the accesslog nor it gets replicated on the slaves. any ideas?
best regards,
marvin

Yes, that's the intended behavior. You need to configure memberof on each slave if you want those attributes maintained on each slave.

Hi, i have updated the config on the slaves and it works. Thank you! Concerning the missing entries in the accesslog, is there a way of having the memberof-overlay modifications to the users's memberof attributes appear in the accesslog?

No. The accesslog is meant to log user accesses, not slapd-internal accesses.
