I think you are looking for the ldapbrowser (http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/~gawor/ldap/).
Note that this tool is not maintained anymore since years. It has some serious bugs and should not be recommended without mentioning that.
Duly noted - I was not aware of any serious problems. We have been using it since 2003 without too much trouble.
The pros and cons of various LDAPv3 client tools still maintained has been debated quite often. I'd recommend to consult the mailing lists's archives.
