We are using open ldap (sorry don't have access to the version at the moment) and were wondering if there is any support for creating a changelog that is available at cn=changelog?
We have a third party system that could use this changelog for monitoring event driven changes and I've had difficulty googling anything that sounds officially supported?

Have you tried reading the OpenLDAP admin guide? The official project documentation is probably a good place to start rather than gambling on Google.
