I'm fairly new to LDAP and testing for migration (NIS to LDAP).

I found the PADL migration tools http://www.padl.com/OSS/MigrationTools.html which are great and now im testing the export of data-sources to *.ldif files.

When exporting the passwd-file for example, I have all system-accounts like "daemon", "bin", "sys", etc. (let's say everything with the uid below 1000) in the ldif file.

Do I need this all these accounts in LDAP? I see that there is "krbName" for all exported entrys/accounts. That's good for some services and kerberos, but do I really need *all* system accounts in LDAP?
