You definitely should use OpenLDAP 2.4.16 for that! They were many fixes to syncrepl since 2.4.9.
but in starting only i got a problem saying database(dc=mytest,dc=com) is not configured to hold "cn=config"
Was that during invoking slapadd? Then have a look at slapadd's command-line options -b (or -n).
