Hi,
Lemons, Terry, 12.05.23:
I followed the instructions inhttps://www.openldap.org/doc/admin26/tls.html. That document contains:
16.2.1. Server Configuration The configuration directives for slapd belong in the global directives section of slapd.conf(5).
This meant, to me, that I needed to add them to /usr/local/etc/openldap/slapd.conf. Please correct me if needed.
slapd uses the static config file *or* the "modern" slapd.d directory. It cannot use both, which means that you need to choose one.
Either you take your SSL configuration settings in the modern slapd.d way (use slapd -F /path/to/slapd.d) or you use the old slapd.conf way (call slapd -f /path/to/slapd.conf then). See "man slapd" for more information.
