My guess would be it was related to the fix for ITS#6817. You might want to read that ITS over.

Thanks. I read over ITS#6817 but since I am not trying to have the meta backend do a SASL bind and I am definitely providing binddn in the configuration I am unable to gather anything useful from that ITS.
