I've no clue what you're trying to do, so it's difficult to assist. By client, I assume you mean a client tool like ldapsearch. In that case, you must provide to it the appropriate options to do TLS cert authentication. If you mean something other than ldapsearch or similar tool, then you need to explain what you're doing.
