reading documentation for ldap administration version 2.3 and 2.4 i realized the figure 5.1 are different! Which one is the correct one?

I'd guess that the 2.3 guide is correct if you're trying to deploy version 2.3, and the 2.4 guide is correct if you're trying to deploy version 2.4?

That needs updating I think. You can check by slapcating the config database, which should be slapcat -n 0 IIRC.

That needs updating I think. You can check by slapcating the config database, which should be slapcat -n 0 IIRC.

I meant the 2.4 diagram. As you pointed out a while ago it's not the correct layout for 2.4.
