I was somewhat surprised to learn from reading the source that while the loglevel directive controls the level of logging done via syslog, the level of logging done to the file specified via the logfile directive is solely controlled via the parameter given do -d on the command line (leaving Windows Registry aside). Is this observation correct? Is this documented? Is there a sane way to write to logfile and still deamonize?
