Simply provide attribute value which complies to telephone number syntax. There are examples like +49 123 456789. Since you did not provide your file data.ldif here further hints about how to exactly fix your data are not possible.
To which I might add: "And if you're unwilling to post your home telephone number (which is understandable) then change some of the digits."
For example, in Michael's example then say something like "+NN NNN NNNNNN" so we can at least see the pattern...
