syncrepl works only once

Hi LDAP Folks,

don't know why that happens, but my syncrepl only works, when I start slapd.

olcSyncrepl: syncrepl rid=1 provider=ldaps://my.ldap.server type=refreshOnly interval=00:00:10:00 searchbase="dc=my,dc=domain" bindmethod=simple binddn="cn=user,dc=my,dc=domain" retry="60 10 300 3" schemachecking=off credentials=mypasswd

my loglevel: olcLogLevel: Parse Sync

I see the syncrepl-logs when I fire up slapd, but after that just nothing. I honestly don't know why syncrepl wouldn't loop. I'd appreciate your help;
