Ok I tried it with rid=1 on the one server and rid=1 on the other one and serverID = 1 and serverID = 2. But I thought that you only need the serverid stuff for mirrormode.
In the end it doesn't work with this setting either.

e.g. something like: syncrepl rid=1 as Gavin mentioned.
