As the case is not significant for DNs, it’s up to the client to handle case match IMHO.

like on SUN (odsee)  :  set config  nsslapd-return-exact-case is set to "on"  or off

with openldap v2.6.6.3, how to get same feature  ?

and force return entryDN to lower case.
